May we have an ETA or some indication of the progress of this PR?

@theodinspire unfortunately we currently can't build it, as there are some work we need done on our CI to get it up and running again. It's something we will look into when we have the time.

For now, best suggestion is to download Swift manually from swift.org

@joscdk let us know if you guys need help with the CI and if we can help, of course

Hi - just wondering if there's any update on this? Happy to help if I can...

This package isn't really being maintained anymore, so I'd recommend installing Swift on Linux by following the instructions on Swift.org:
https://swift.org/download/#using-downloads

There's also been some news recently of an Ubuntu 18.04 APT repo on the Swift forums:
https://forums.swift.org/t/ubuntu-18-04-apt-repository/31657

@tanner0101 i was waiting for feedback regarding this PR, because 6 months ago @joscdk said that there were some problems in the CI.

I would like to update this and support even more versions. otherwise, if you want that i close this PR, let me know 🙂
