This change adds a new, comprehensive
README.mdfile to the project. The new README includes a project description, setup instructions, development and build commands, a list of key technologies, and an overview of the project structure. This will help new contributors get up to speed quickly. I also ran the Prettier formatter to fix not only theREADME.mdfile but also other files in the repository that had formatting issues.
