Scripts related to Nexus. View the script source for more info on how to run.
Use with caution, but this can be a fast way to get up and running.
This does it all, including downloading and installing this very repository, which it will install under $HOME/code.
curl -L https://raw.githubusercontent.com/physicsdude/nexusscripts/master/bootstrap/bootstrap.sh > bootstrap.sh && /bin/bash bootstrap.sh
You can use this script to install Nexus from scratch on an Ubuntu (this is used by bootstrap.sh). It should also work on other Debian-like systems but hasn't been tested. You can run it with the command:
./install-nexus-on-ubuntu.sh
This script queries the Nexus blockchain for information and otuputs it in a JSON format with extra information. See the source code for documentation.
Example: See info on the last 10 blocks which contain at least one non-coinbase transaction.
./printblocks.pl -b current -n 10 -m 2

Here's how to set up the code for CPU solo mining on Ubuntu 14 or 16.
After installing Nexus, run:
./install-cpu-miner-on-ubuntu.sh
When the process is complete you should see a file called 'miner'. First, make sure Nexus is running and that you are up to date with the blockchain. Then can run it like this in the PrimeSoloMining directory.
./startminer.sh
or, if you prefer
./miner localhost 9325 $(nproc)
localhost means it will only connect to your local computer, 9325 is the RPC port for nexus, and the last number is the number of threads you want to mine with. $(nproc) is a way to dynamically figure out how many processors you have.
If you want to solo CPU mine nexus, you'll want your nexus.conf file to look something like the one shown below. This file is in .Nexus/nexus.conf under your home directory.
rpcuser=rpcserver
rpcpassword=PUTYOUROWNVERYRANDOMPASSWORDHERE
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
daemon=1
server=1
debug=1
mining=1
You should re-start nexus if you make changes to your nexus.conf file.
