What changes are you trying to make? (e.g. Adding or removing code, refactoring existing code, adding reports)
Adding code to analyze the effectiveness of a hypothetical arthritis drug by reading multiple CSV files containing inflammation data and calculating summary statistics for each patient (e.g., mean, min, and max).
What did you learn from the changes you have made?
Learned how to efficiently handle CSV files in Python and perform data analysis using NumPy. Gained insights into the importance of data handling and preprocessing for accurate analysis.
Was there another approach you were thinking about making? If so, what approach(es) were you thinking of?
Considered using pandas for handling CSV files and data manipulation for its more intuitive data handling capabilities, especially when dealing with larger datasets and needing more complex manipulations.
Were there any challenges? If so, what issue(s) did you face? How did you overcome it?
Knowing which axis to perform calculations on, knowing which axis corresponded with day and which with patients, using the helper function.
How were these changes tested?
Changes were tested by running the code with multiple datasets, checking outputs visually, and confirming that calculated statistics matched expectations.
