# HellBot

HellBot is designed to enhance music playback on your Discord server.

## Usage

To use HellBot, you must install the latest 64-bit version of Java 21 or higher.
You can download Java/JDK here: https://www.oracle.com/cis/java/technologies/downloads

## Manual Launch (for all OS)

Steps:
• To launch HellBot, open a terminal window in the directory where the application is located.
• Execute the command: java -jar filename, for example java -jar hell-bot-0.4.1.jar.

On first run, you will need to:
• Enter your Discord API key.
• Choose the type of database you wish to use:
  If you choose the H2 database, it will be automatically created and store the authorization data.
  If you choose PostgreSQL, ensure you have created an empty database beforehand and have the connection details ready.
  
## Launcher (for OS Windows)

For Windows users, an easy way to launch HellBot is available through the HellBot Launcher.
This launcher simplifies the process, allowing you to start HellBot with just a few clicks, without needing to use command-line tools.
Simply download the launcher and click start.

## Features

## Supported formats powered by Lavaplayer.

The set of sources where LavaPlayer can load tracks from is easily extensible, but the ones currently included by default are:
• YouTube
• SoundCloud
• Twitch streams
• Local files
• HTTP URLs

The file formats that LavaPlayer can currently handle are (relevant for file/url sources):
• MP3
• FLAC
• WAV
• Matroska/WebM (AAC, Opus or Vorbis codecs)
• MP4/M4A (AAC codec)
• OGG streams (Opus, Vorbis and FLAC codecs)
• AAC streams
