Summary of Changes

Hello @Camila-B, I'm Gemini Code Assist1! I'm currently reviewing this pull request and will post my feedback shortly. In the meantime, here's a summary to help you and other reviewers quickly get up to speed!

This pull request, a cherry-pick from another change, reverts the Kustomize tool version used within the project. The downgrade aims to address potential issues or ensure compatibility by moving back to a previously stable Kustomize release.

Highlights

  • Kustomize Version Downgrade: The Kustomize version used in the project has been downgraded from v5.8.0-gke.2 to v5.4.2-gke.1. This change is reflected in both the build configuration and the hydration utility.

🧠 New Feature in Public Preview: You can now enable Memory to help Gemini Code Assist learn from your team's feedback. This makes future code reviews more consistent and personalized to your project's style. Click here to enable Memory in your admin console.

Code Review

This pull request downgrades the Kustomize version from v5.8.0-gke.2 to v5.4.2-gke.1. The change is applied consistently across the Makefile and pkg/hydrate/tool_util.go. The downgrade appears to be a deliberate and straightforward maintenance task. The changes are correct and I have no further comments.
