Inserted code into first assignment

What changes are you trying to make? (e.g. Adding or removing code, refactoring existing code, adding reports)

I added the code for the first assignment.

What did you learn from the changes you have made?

I learned how to define functions and manipulate lists in python.

Was there another approach you were thinking about making? If so, what approach(es) were you thinking of?

Initially my code had a whole bunch of if and else statements, but I was able to clean it up by using tools we learned in Tuesday's class.

Were there any challenges? If so, what issue(s) did you face? How did you overcome it?

I think this was a very straightforward assignment.

How were these changes tested?

I ran them on the jupyter notebook file provided.
