What changes are you trying to make? (e.g. Adding or removing code, refactoring existing code, adding reports)
I updated assignment.sh to include code that made new directories, moved files to appropriate folders, and deleted relevant files.
What did you learn from the changes you have made?
I learned to use various commands in Git Bash to do what was described above. Moreover, I learned how to clone git repos to my computer, set up branches, stage, commit, pull, push and merge changes.
Was there another approach you were thinking about making? If so, what approach(es) were you thinking of?
I also tried to interact with Github via VS Code (i.e. commit, push, pull changes).
Were there any challenges? If so, what issue(s) did you face? How did you overcome it?
I had issues with interacting with Github using VS Code, namely that synced changes where not showing up on Github. On a separate note, I also found that the terminal in VS Code doesn't seem to work like Git Bash. While attempting to execute commands like 'pwd' and 'echo', I got an error message that these commands are not being recognized as internal or external commands. Unsure if we are meant to use terminal in VS Code as a Windows user, or if we are meant to stick with Git Bash.
How were these changes tested?
I ran through the process of cloning a repo, making changes, staging, pushing and committing changes via Git Bash, thecking Github to see if the changes appeared online. I then deleted the repo and redid the process with VS Code, but I still seemed to have issues.
A reference to a related issue in your repository (if applicable)
Nothing to refer to in the submitted code which shoes the issues. I would however like some feedback on my code under comment 4 (making user_logs, server_logs, event_logs). I wonder it if it possible to create the 3 directories from inside the assignment folder rather than having to cd into data/processed. While in the assignments folder, i attempted to run 'mkdir data/processed/user_logs event_logs server_logs" but only user_logs ended up in data/processed, while the other two were created inside the assignments folder.
