Error while running composer require ys-tools/default-theme-configuration-bundle: ScriptHandler.php Exception

I encountered an issue when trying to run composer require ys-tools/default-theme-configuration-bundle in my OroCommerce environment. The command failed with an error related to Oro\Bundle\InstallerBundle\Composer\ScriptHandler::updateAssets.

It seems like it can not find the NPM, see sh: line 0: exec: npm: not found. Please check your configuration.
