Areabase: why is it not properly working?

What is missing for the areabase? call explicitly doesn't look up areabases, also when trying to access an areabase like R of ABOCK:MSA 29761 it fails with "not found". This is very odd because I can open that areabase with the old version of dd as can be seen here: https://github.com/pyIPP/pyMSA/blob/master/MSA.py#L60 … do we have to resort to such a getObject, too?

If I remember correctly libddww has a problem getting the areabase by namedirectly. So if the areabase is not related to any signal you have a problem. We could implement getObjectData and use it as a fallback. P.S. I could do that.

getAreaBase fixed with 239c96f but the behaviour of getAreaBaseInfo needs to be discussed. In your case 'R' is not related to anything. Should we try to recreate the output of getAreaBaseInfo with getObjectHeader in case the specified name belongs to an areabase?

If that's possible, that would be cool. edit: Just checked IDA. We'll also have to transpose the areabase I think. Non-standard shotfiles are. not. cool.

I realized that ddainfo which is used in getAreaBaseInfo does not give the number of timesteps of the area base, but it gives the index of the timebase vector eg. 1st, 2nd.

getObjectHeader gives the number of timesteps. I think it would be nice to combine that information.
