I think that it would be good to flush currently committed changes and make new release :)

If may I ask as well consider change taggong convention from openslp-<version> to just <version> becase autogenerated github tar ball from last tag https://github.com/openslp-org/openslp/archive/refs/tags/openslp-2.0.0.tar.gz has inside openslp-openslp-2.0.0/ base directory (githib/gitlab automatically construct that base directory name out of <repo_name>-<git_tag>).

I second that: a few security issues have been fixed since version 2.0.0 released in 2013.
Please tell me if you would need some help with testing a new version of OpenSLP when it is released.
