Windows 11 stopped receiving PTP packets (512 events)

I had windows 11 system syncing with a PTP linux server, but few months ago it stopped receiving PTP messages (no 512 events). After trying various things, replacing the ptpprov.dll with one from a Windows 10 computer ended up fixing the problem. I can't see from the past updates at which point things changed, and whether a new update might have corrected any bugs.

There is no point posting my configuration settings, since identical settings in Windows 11 in the past and identical settings in Windows 10 worked fine.

Hi @olakiril, thanks a lot for sharing your findings — it’s incredibly helpful to know that replacing ptpprov.dll with the one from a Windows 10 system solved the issue for you.

I'm currently experiencing the same problem on Windows 11, where I no longer see any successful PTP events (specifically Event ID 512 or 513). I’ve tried many configurations without success.

Would you be willing to share the exact version/build of Windows 10 from which you obtained the working ptpprov.dll? That information would be really helpful in trying to resolve this issue really help me.
