Sticky not appearing after a few days of usage

I started using Sticky about a week ago after installing Mint. It functioned for a few days, I made some notes. Today I go to start the app and the Sticky notes simply don't appear. Whether from Launcher menu or directly from command line, nothing happens when I try to start it.

Looking at the process menu, it seems it's currently running, but not displaying:

The last time it was functioning properly, I turned on the Autostart setting so maybe that has something to do with it.

I killed 2276 and 2278 processes above and restarted from Launcher menu. This seems to have got it going again, but not everyone is going to have that level of tech savvy.

Okay, I think I realise the problem. It's a usability issue, not one of functionality.
When I enabled Automatic Start I did not enable Show notes on the screen. This meant that the Notes program started up when I booted up, but the only visible indication was a tray icon that I can left click to toggle Notes visiblity, or right click for the Manage Notes or Preferences windows.

When I started up the computer, I didn't notice the tray icon among all the other tray icons and tried to start the program normally. This led to my above issues where no matter how many times I tried to "start" Notes, nothing seemed to happen. The program had already started so there was nothing left to do.

While the program is technically functioning, I still think there should be some feedback if someone starts Notes when Notes is already running. Either make the Notes visible, the management screen, or both. Alternatively, pop up a message box informing the user that Notes is already running and they can control its behaviour and visibility from the tray icon.
