Using CF Secrets Store (account wide) with Hono / not Worker specific

I am trying to retrieve a secret from Cloudflare Secret Store, but I'm not sure if the functionality is supported or doing something wrong.

I get the error TypeError: Failed to execute 'get' on 'Fetcher': parameter 1 is not of type 'string'.

I have an Cloudflare Secret in the Secret Store bound to my worker called "ACCOUNT_ID" (the store name is called "XREF_ACCOUNT_ID".

I followed the example from the bindings page - but nothing is returned. For comparison I also setup a "secret_text" that is bound to the worker directly.
