  1. Add a standard Makefile for Linux and Darwin builds. 

    Remove reliance on boost by compiling library with c++11 compiler
features turned on.

Use of c++11 features does allows for this to happen:

boost::mutex::scoped_lock
boost::math
boost::mutex

becomes

std::lock_guard
std::isfinite
std::mutex
