Description
Hello team,
I’m experiencing an issue where the “Bing Search v7” resource no longer appears anywhere in the Azure Portal. Previously, it was available under:
Create a Resource → AI + Machine Learning → Bing Search v7, or
Cognitive Services → Create → Bing Search
However, as of now:
“Bing Search v7” does not appear in the Azure Marketplace
“Cognitive Services” does not provide any Bing-related options
Searching for “Bing Search”, “Bing Web Search”, or “Cognitive Services Bing” returns no results
Because of this, I’m unable to create a new Bing Search resource or retrieve a Bing API Key for my application.
✔️ What I’ve already tried:
Searching Azure Marketplace in multiple regions
Checking “AI + Machine Learning” categories
Attempting to create a generic Cognitive Services resource
Using different Azure subscriptions
Following old documentation (all lead to missing resource types)
❓ Request for clarification
Can the team please confirm:
Has Microsoft officially removed or deprecated Bing Search v7 from Azure?
If yes, what is the new supported method to obtain a Bing Web Search API Key?
Is there a replacement resource, updated API, or migration path available?
If Bing Search is now part of a new Azure AI or grounding service, where can we access documentation?
📝 Additional Notes
Several developers have reported similar issues, and it appears this change may not be clearly reflected in the current documentation.
Any official guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
