granian getting stuck using reload flag in docker with watch+sync #763

Hello I am running granian (granian[reload]>=2.6.0) in docker with the --reload flag and docker compose in develop/watch mode:

 develop:
      watch:
        - action: sync
          path: .

But for the past little while it gets stuck now when I make a change to the file. These are the last logs before it locks up:

web-1 | 2025-12-12 23:35:21 INFO [_granian.workers] Stopping worker-1
web-1 | 2025-12-12 23:35:21 INFO [_granian.workers] Stopping worker-2 runtime-1
web-1 | 2025-12-12 23:35:21 INFO [_granian.workers] Stopping worker-1 runtime-1

I have confirmed that it works fine locally with the reload flag.

I have gotten around it by removing the reload flag and using sync+restart on my docker watch action, but I wanted to report anyway.
