For those not willing to install a 1.7Gb Xcode package to run the above, there is a more basic solution

defaults write .GlobalPreferences com.apple.mouse.scaling -1

defaults write .GlobalPreferences com.apple.mouse.scaling -1

This has never worked for me. I have tested this with MacBook Air (tested with Mavericks) and now MacBook Pro M1 (tested with Monterey and Ventura). Only 3rd pary softwares seems to do the trick.
