Retry on failure?

If a job fails, will it automatically retry? or does it wait til the next scheduled time?
If no, I propose this as a feature
If I have a job set to check every week or month and it happens to fail, I don't want to wait another week or month. Without the feature, I'm forced to keep monitoring the status of the jobs, at that point its easier to just monitor the actual site
