<p>函数“封装”(encapsulation)提供的一大好处在于你无法在函数外面“看到”或访问参数变量或其中定义的任何其它变量。也就是说,这些变量的<strong>作用域</strong>(scope)是有限的。</p>

<p>直到我们理解语句和函数的讨论之前,我们仅仅遇到过有<strong>文件作用域</strong>(file scope)的变量。这意味着被定义后,该变量对任何相同文件中的代码而言都可见。有着文件作用域的变量甚至可以<em>在函数内</em>使用。相比文件作用域,函数中定义的变量或函数的输入参数则有着<strong>有限作用域</strong>(restricted scope)——它们只能在函数内使用:</p>

<p>当一个文件作用域的变量和一个函数作用域的变量有着同样名字时会发生什么?这种情况叫做<strong>变量重影</strong>(variable shadowing)。Python通过优先使用可用作用域中<em>最受限制的作用域</em>的变量来解决这个冲突:</p>
