Cognitive accessibility #27

@SteveALee

Description

@SteveALee

While many of the WCAG 2.1 success criteria also meet the preferences of people with cognitive disabilities there is currently activity to understand, specify and implement more specific requirements.

This is the focus of Cognitive and Learning Disabilities Accessibility Task Force who are developing some excellent resources that will lead into later WCAG specs (codename Silver) and browser features.

Many of these features affect things like content design and navigation which some may consider out of scope for SPA a11y examples. I do not and I'm very keen to ensure cognitive accessibility is well represented here. In deed there is scope to become a good example of supporting this critical topic.
