Use with 4.0

Hi!
One of my legacy project stuck with WebForms and 4.0.
Any chance I can use it with 4.0?
What a reason to choose 4.5.2+?
Maybe I can make a fork with downgraded .NET version, or you already did the research and figured this is impossible?

Not specifically actually. But .NET 4.0 is EOL afaik, that is the reason I did take 4.5.2 as a minimum.

Please try and submit a pull request if you can get it working on net40.
