Complementary Shaders v5.2 & v5.2.1 crashes

Upon selecting Complementary Shaders v.5.2 or v5.2.1, the game crashes and gives the following short error message in the report:

java.lang.NullPointerException: Updating screen events

No Mixin Metadata is found in the Stacktrace.

A fix would be great since v5.2 of Complementary Shaders features "Advanced Colored Lighting", which allows light emitting sources to emit colored light depending on the color of the texture of the block. (This feature is Iris mod specific in the newer version, so I highly doubt it will work with OptiFine unless the required methods are added via AdvancedShader)

Recreate the crash and post the entire latest.log on gist.github.com please. A small snippet of info is not nearly enough information for programmers to fix bugs. For example: Other mods, such as Gregtech, could be conflicting with the shader and be the reason the crash happened, but we can't know that for certain unless you post the entire log file.
