Just wanted to mention a few things I ran into after installing the new version:
xtreme
All old playlists disappeared. wish there was a warning before that happened.
i can’t change or edit the user , password , host at all
can we have export-import option for favorites?

Also, really liked how the app now goes back to the previous page instead of jumping straight to the main screen .. any chance the same behavior could work in search results too?

Other than that, everything seems working fine , thanks again for your work.

New to linux, I downloaded the latest and installed this on Ubuntu 24.04.3 but it will not launch. Am I missing something?

It stopped working for me after the update as well. My operating system is Ubuntu 24.04.3

When I start it from the terminal;

sltn@krcby:/opt/IPTVnator$ iptvnator
[13974:1213/120629.816659:FATAL:sandbox/linux/suid/client/setuid_sandbox_host.cc:166] The SUID sandbox helper binary was found, but is not configured correctly. Rather than run without sandboxing I'm aborting now. You need to make sure that /opt/IPTVnator/chrome-sandbox is owned by root and has mode 4755.

Solution;

I ran the following commands as root in the terminal inside opt/IPTVnator/ :

chown root chrome-sandbox
chmod 04755 chrome-sandbox

Thanks for the details, I'll check the issue. A workaround could be to start it like this:

iptvnator --no-sandbox
